Product Characteristics
Composition and Materials:
Natural stones and brick of varying sizes and textures are used to form (flexible) molds. A mix of Portland cement, lightweight aggregates and iron oxide pigments is then placed into the molds. Filled molds are vibrated to integrate surface coloration. Mix in molds is then raked to provide scratched texture on product back to aid installation bond. After setup of mix, cast product is pulled from molds, packaged and cured.
Size:
Random. Sizes, shapes and textures of finished product duplicate natural stones or real brick used as mold masters. Stone and brick diameters will vary from 2” to 30”. Right-angle corner pieces have return lengths varying from 2” to 12” on the inside legs. Product pieces designed for fireplace hearth use are 19” x 20” or random flagstone-like shapes.
